Community groups share in more than $10,000 in grants.

The Rose Grange Community Fund is an annual initiative by the estate’s project manager, the Dennis Family Corporation. The Fund provides financial support to community groups operating in the Tarneit, Truganina and Hoppers Crossing areas and over the past eight years has donated over $100,000 to numerous organisations.

Residents of Manor Lakes, in Wyndham Vale, and Rose Grange, in Tarneit, will receive a welcome boost to the vital infrastructure servicing their area with the Victorian Government announcing that train stations will be built at both estates.

The Manor Lakes station and the Rose Grange station will be first two of six planned to be built as part of the $4.3bn Regional Rail Link.

Bert Dennis, Founding Chairman, Dennis Family Corporation, the project managers of Manor Lakes and Rose Grange, welcomed the announcement saying the rail route will provide much needed critical infrastructure that will service the rapidly growing western suburbs.

“The delivery of these stations will herald one of the most exciting stages of development the western suburbs have seen in decades and will dramatically increase the amenity in one of Australia’s fastest growing regions”

At Manor Lakes, the Regional Rail Link will run through the transport corridor. The Manor Lakes station is proposed to be located near the two schools, Our Lady of the Southern Cross Catholic Primary School and Manor Lakes P-12/Specialist College, and the site of the Manor Lakes Activity Centre.

The Rose Grange station is planned to be located on vacant land north of the estate. Once this land is brought into the proposed expanded Urban Growth Boundary, development will commence. The Dennis Family Corporation will project manage this development in conjunction with the land owners.

The Regional Rail Link will provide capacity for more than 20 extra train services every hour across the Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Werribee, Craigieburn and Sunbury (Sydenham) lines providing capacity for more than 9000 extra passengers every hour

The State Government has not announced specific timing details, but the Denis Family Corporation is hopeful that work will commence during 2010.


Be Quick! Grant-ready land running out fast!

First Home Buyers looking to take advantage of the $26,000 in Government grants are encouraged to buy land NOW as they have just a few short months left to sign a building contract in order to apply for the additional funding.

Masterplanned communities Manor Lakes in Wyndham Vale and Rose Grange in Tarneit both have great-value land for sale now that will title in time for buyers to have building contracts finalised before the Government’s 30 June 2009* deadline.

Christine Walker, Manor Lakes and Rose Grange Marketing Manager explains, "Purchasers must enter into a building contract before 30 June in order to be eligible to apply for the boosted first home buyers grant. This means that when selecting a block of land you need to ensure the land you buy will be titled in sufficient time for the builder to prepare the required contract.

Fifteen local groups share in over $14,500 in grants from Rose Grange

Fifteen community groups from around the Tarneit area are celebrating an early Christmas with the recent announcement of the 2008 Rose Grange Community Fund grant recipients.

The groups, which cover an extremely broad range of interests and projects from purchasing sporting equipment to playgroups to helping disadvantaged students, will share in $14,900 worth of funding.

The Rose Grange Community Fund has donated more than $80,000 to the local community over the past six years and is an annual initiative by the estate’s project managers, the Dennis Family Corporation.

The aim of the Community Fund programme is to give back to the local community and to fund a wide variety of initiatives that might not otherwise go ahead were it not for this funding, says Natalie Bonnage, Rose Grange Marketing Executive.

The recipients of the 2008 Rose Grange Community Fund grants are:

Rose Grange offers almost $15,000 in community grants

Calling all community groups around Tarneit, Truganina and Hoppers Crossing applications are now open for the 2008 Rose Grange Community Fund which this year has $14,900 available in grants.

Now in its sixth year, the Rose Grange Community Fund will have donated more than $80,000 to local groups once this year's allocation has been granted. Applications for the 2008 grants close at 5pm on Friday 29th August.

Peter Gionfriddo, Development Manager, Rose Grange, and Community Fund judge says he is pleased that Rose Grange has been able to give back to the local community through this grants programme.

"The Community Fund provides a fantastic opportunity for local groups to apply for financial support to run valuable projects that will benefit the broader community that might not otherwise have been possible."

Community Fund grants can be used for a wide range of projects with previously funded activities including the purchase of uniforms and trophies for the Under 11 netball team, replacing a hot water service, holding a Christmas event for retirees, providing first aid training and purchasing children's play equipment.

The Rose Grange Community Fund is an initiative run by the estate's developer, the Dennis Family Corporation, who has been operating community funds for more than six years in each of their master planned developments.

Community, not-for-profit groups that provide services within the City of Wyndham municipality area and have been operating locally to the Rose Grange development for at least 12 months are invited to apply for grants from the 2008 fund. A panel of local community leaders will judge applications with the successful recipients to be announced in October.

"We are very proud that through the Community Fund grants we are able to give something back to local residents and we encourage local not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding in 2008," says Mr Gionfriddo.

Clean-up Australia Day and Easter celebrations

Calling all Tarneit residents, Sunday 2nd March is the day to roll-up your sleeves and join with your neighbours to help Clean-up Australia and then have all your hard work rewarded at the Rose Grange Easter Event.

The Rose Grange Residents’ Association is coordinating a team of volunteers to work clearing away rubbish along Skeleton Waterholes Creek from 9am until 12.30pm.

“The dry, windy conditions we’ve been experiencing this summer means that rubbish has collected in local waterways and creeks. By participating in Clean-Up Australia Day residents can help these areas to become a much cleaner, healthier habitat for the native wildlife,” says Peter Gionfriddo, Rose Grange Development Manager.

Volunteers and local residents are then invited to join the free fun at the Rose Grange Easter Event at Duck Haven Park between 12 noon and 3pm. This alcohol-free event will feature a free sausage sizzle and drinks, face painting and Easter crafts, an AFL clinic and a special visit from the Easter Bunny with chocolate eggs for the children.

“The Rose Grange Easter Event promises to be a terrific afternoon of fun as well as providing an opportunity for the local community to mix and mingle with their neighbours and to thank the industrious efforts of the Clean-Up volunteers,” says Mr Gionfriddo.
